Jim Macdonald received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his twenty-five years of passionate leadership in environmental organizations in the Hamilton area including Green Venture, the Conserver Society, CHOP (Clear Hamilton of Pollution), the Bruce Trail Association, and Citizens for a Sustainable Community.
Jim sat on the Task Force on Sustainable Development where he successfully argued for a Vision 2020 that focused on the connections between the environment and human health. Jim has always represented his concerns constructively but forcefully, while respecting the views of others. Jim chaired the Conserver Society for five years, sat on the Board of the Bruce Trail Association for seven years, and was a founding director of Green Venture.
